As a 25 year veteran in the insurance industry, Neil Krauter felt it was time, once again, to offer clients a fresh approach in an industry that has been dominated by a few global players. He recognized that a client's needs rather than a broker's needs must be at the forefront of a risk strategy, and that risk strategy must be fully integrated into a client's overall corporate strategy.
Krauter & Co. brings a new perspective to the industry. It emphasizes the team approach and encourages collective thinking and communication. At Krauter & Co, the team concept does not just include members of our firm, but underwriters, TPA's, and your internal and external alliances. The firm recognizes that no one person has all the ideas. What does this mean to you? It means that you will be provided with holistic solutions rather than those with a narrow-scope.
It also means that you will benefit from the facilitation of direct relationships with underwriters. In his former role as Vice Chairman of a global broker, Neil encouraged his team to cultivate and establish relationships directly with the underwriting community. The team, in turn, introduced clients to those underwriting relationships so as to ensure that underwriters fully understood a client's perspective and a client became comfortable with the firm with which its business may eventually be placed. These relationships resulted in the creation of products/solutions that are the models still being used in the industry today. Over the past few years, underwriter introductions to clients have fallen by the wayside. It is time to bring them back.
Although Krauter & Co. will serve more than just the M&A industry, it is important to note that as founder and former Global Practice Leader of an M&A team, Neil built and trained a cadre of M&A specialists that set the standard for other M&A practices. Many of these specialists are now in senior positions throughout the industry. Some of whom are rejoining Krauter & Co. to once again raise the bar on talent in the industry.
