Message from the Chairman

It is hard to believe all that has transpired since we started Krauter & Company six years ago.  Back then, we were in the midst of a tremendous “shake-up” of the insurance brokerage industry by then Attorney General Elliot Spitzer.  And now, we find ourselves trying to dig out from the greatest economic recession since the 1930’s.  While we have all been affected by these events, Krauter & Company finds itself at an interesting juncture in our company’s evolution.  We have recently completed an internal “due diligence” on the company and, along with the roll-out of our newly redesigned website, have devised a strategy to further refine and improve our client deliverables.  Over the next several months, we will be rolling out new products to meet the ever changing needs of our clients. 

With rates in a prolonged “soft” cycle, industry capacity continuing to increase and clients looking for any way to reduce costs, organic growth in the brokerage industry is most challenging.   It is precisely these dynamics that have caused our unique client service model and intellectual capital to be in greater demand.  Our clients rely upon our risk management expertise more than ever since most companies are currently presented with the challenge of ensuring that their companies are adequately protected in spite of limited or reduced budgets.  Krauter & Company has been able to devise and execute innovative solutions to assist them.   That is why our firm’s organic growth has averaged over 20% annually and we continue to seek out and hire the best and brightest the industry has to offer on both the Insurance and Employee Benefits side of the business. 

We at Krauter & Company have the same passion now as we did six years ago when we placed our first deal (before we even opened our first office).  Finding ways to help our clients through these uncertain times is a challenge that we thrive on.
